Lyme Town Band at Monday Night Concerts in the Park
The Lyme Town Band plays a mixture of marches, pop, “Golden Oldies,” polkas, and light classics, with the emphasis on the enjoyment of music by both audience, and the players.
The Lyme Town Band is a non profit organization of a group of amateur musicians who enjoy playing music around the Upper Valley. Band members come from all around the Upper Valley including Lyme, Hanover, Lebanon, Canaan, Piermont, and Warren New Hampshire, Norwich, Thetford, Bradford, and Post Mills in Vermont as well as summer residents from Florida, North Carolina, Michigan, and Texas.
There has been a band in Lyme off and on since 1840. The band rehearses on Tuesday evening from 7:oopm till 9:00pm at the Lyme Elementary School in Lyme N.H.. The band has a full summer schedule, playing in numerous towns for their concert series, holiday events, special occasions, parades, schools, nursing homes, and churches.
