Hospice care can be one of the most challenging times for not only the patient receiving hospice, but for the family and friends that are caring for the patient. While hospice provides medical comfort for an individual, it is just as important for the mental and spiritual health to comforted. We will be discussing the supports and services that are provided by Gary Shapiro, the Spiritual Health Counselor, for the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of VT & NH.
