SUMMARY:Christmas Market with a Difference in Hanvoer
DESCRIPTION:Christmas Market with a Difference\nAt the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College\nFor 36 years\, the Christmas Market With a Difference at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College has offered handcrafted treasures and fair trade goods from around the world. \nItems include apparel\, accessories\, baskets\, jewelry\, linens\, clothing\, toys\, ornaments\, home and holiday decor\, and specialty foods. \nThe “difference” between this and many other holiday markets is that all of the proceeds (except from Market Café sales) are returned to the artisans who produce the goods and the organizations representing them. \nThe market has raised more than $1.5 million since its inception in 1987\, helping to provide living wages to many artisans\, and lifting up families and communities in some of the poorest areas of the world. \nParticipating organizations this year include Association for Craft Producers (Nepal)\, Church World Service\, Circus Zambia\, Cocoa Farming Futures Initiative (Grenada)\, Koinonia Farm\, Mil Milagros (Guatemala)\, Q’ewar Project (Peru)\, SERRV\, UNICEF\, and Zienzele Foundation (Zimbabwe). \nMarket hours are Friday\, Nov. 3\, from 10 am to 6 pm\, and Saturday\, Nov. 4\, from 10 am to 3 pm. \nClick HERE for more information

SUMMARY:Pods for the Pulpit Craft Fair in Norwich
DESCRIPTION:27th annual fair\, raising funds for the Upper Valley Haven\nNovember 24 and 25\nIn the early days of the fair\, members of the congregation made milkweed pod Christmas ornaments to sell at the fair; hence the name. Revenue comes from booth fees\, commissions and raffle tickets on a colored woodblock print donated by Lyme artist Matt Brown. \nWe try to have our crafters remain at the same level of expertise as those who have been juried into the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen. Ours are professional craftspeople. With over thirty vendors\, there will be a wide variety of high-quality crafts including floorcloths\, photography\, woodblock prints\, felting\, pottery\, gourd ornaments\, elf slippers\, jewelry\, ceramics\, gemstones and pearls\, quilts\, weaving\, felt tapestry\, wood\, Ukrainian eggs\, soft sculpture\, notecards and calendars\, custom cribbage boards\, colored etchings\, wool rugs\, and acrylic paintings on board. \nThe fair is held the weekend after Thanksgiving at Tracy Hall on Main Street in Norwich\, Vermont. Hours are 10AM-4PM on November 24 and 25. There is no admission fee\, but attendees are strongly encouraged to purchase raffle tickets. \nUnitarian Universalist Congregation of the Upper Valley
