SUMMARY:Free Day at the CCBA
DESCRIPTION:CCBA is celebrating Carl Witherell’s birthday with a free day at the CCBA!!\nEveryone is welcome to stop by and enjoy the facilities at no cost.\nCarl was an incredible business and civic leader in the Upper Valley. He was deeply involved in his communities in a number of ways throughout his life\, which included serving as President of Lebanon Rotary Club\, and being an active member of both the corporation of Alice Peck Day Hospital and the CCBA!  \nCarl’s legacy of caring for his community lives on in the Witherell Recreation Center; the funds he left to our organization allowed us to build the first complete fitness facility in the area in 1987\, and is named in his honor. \nFamilies\, the pool will be open to you from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  \nThe gym will be open during the day too!  \nPlease be aware that any youth in the 6th grade or younger must be with an adult at all times on any part of our campus during this event.

SUMMARY:"Pandas - Wild at Heart" Family Movie in Bradford
DESCRIPTION:A beautiful story demonstrating the care of wild Pandas based on Ben Kilham’s work and research.\nSynopsis: From Nancy Jones\nThis new film follows Qian Qian (pronounced Chen Chen)\, who was selected from a group of roly poly baby pandas for her stubborn streak of independence and affectionate nature. It is a visual treat with sweeping views of the forested mountain region in China’s Sichuan province\, where some of the world’s last populations of wild giant pandas chomp bamboo\, clinging to life in the face of encroaching human development. Qian Qian’s\nstory is panda plentiful and optimized for maximum family-friendly visual enjoyment. \nThe method of successfully raising baby bears was adapted from the work of the New England-based naturalist Ben Kilham who works tirelessly to raise and reintroduce orphaned black bears to the forests of New Hampshire. Kilham—also known as “papa bear”—and his sister Phoebe have been working with cubs since the 1990s\, and have released more than 160 bears back into their natural habitat.
