Empty Bowls: A Lyme School Art for Change Project
The Middle School Clay Elective is holding an Empty Bowls Fundraiser on January 23, 2020 from 5-6pm. Empty Bowls is an international project created to fight hunger. The objectives of any Empty Bowls fundraiser is to:
• Raise money to feed the world’s hungry people.
• Increase awareness of hunger and related issues.
• Advocate for arts education.
$15 Donation for a Handmade Bowl & Hearty Meal! We will be donating 100% of the proceeds (as well as leftovers) to the Upper Valley Haven. In order for us to do this most effectively, PLEASE SIGN UP FOR YOUR MEALS ASAP: https://forms.gle/
The students have been working this past month to create 50 bowls for this special event. Chef Paul Pelligrino will be serving a hearty meal of Chicken or Vegetarian Chili, Fresh Bread & Salad. Should we run out of handmade bowls, we will have other bowls available. If you wish to bring in your own bowl, suggested donation is $10 for the meal. Bowls do vary in size, and are refillable.
