Gardening? Planning a BBQ? Lyme Hardware is having a Stars and Stripes Sale – check out their grills and gardening supplies. Grab a free flag for your holiday table.
Tired of your dirty car interior? Get it cleaned by the 7th graders at the Lyme School and help fund their trip to Washington DC. 8am – 12 noon at the school.
Pop Corn! Get your Pop Corn! Borrow a movie at the Library and Miss Judy will give you a bag of popcorn! Then grab a few books for your summer reading pleasure – All at the Converse Free Library from 9-12 noon.
Learn about the different techniques of print making – and there is quite a variety – at the Matt Brown Gallery. Think of it as our own special museum of local artists! And the bonus – you can buy your favorite piece of art, large or small to fit your wall! Hours on this holiday Saturday are 10 – 3 pm.
Need an extra perennial or two for your flower garden? Or some vegetable starts? The Utility Club is having a Plant and Bake Sale from 8:30 – 12 noon at the Historians Home. Home baked cookies, pies, breads, cakes and more will be available. Each item comes with a promise that we won’t tell your family you didn’t bake it yourself!
Ever wonder about the history of Lyme and all the artifacts collected from years gone by? Entry is free at the Historians Home – ask your questions and be awed by all that has happened in this small village on the Connecticut River since the 1760’s. Open from 9 to 12 noon.
You are invited to stroll the spring gardens and relax in the Adirondack chairs at the Lyme Inn. After you have had an “eyeful”, enjoy a “mouthful” at Ariana’s! Opens for dinner at 5pm.
Listen to the music at The Lyme Country Store. A pop up Farmers Market brings local goodness to the store and, there is no better taste on a hot day then a cone of soft serve ice cream – your choice of flavors and size.
Lyme has its own second hand store called the Bargain Barn located next to the horse sheds. This season’s opening is scheduled for Sat, June 3, but for the curious early birds, there will be table at the Historians Home with a variety of items for sale. Check it out from 8:30 – noon!
