Help us fight hunger and food insecurity

Help us fight hunger and food insecurity: locally, nationally and internationally! This Sunday, following LCC worship services, we will be hosting Lyme’s annual CROP* walk. Walkers will complete 2 circuits around the Lyme Town Common, then head up Market Street and walk the Grant Brook Trail west, looping back to the Common once more, finishing up at the church’s Fellowship Hall for refreshments.

To participate, simply join us in Fellowship Hall at the conclusion of Sunday’s worship service (around 11:30 am). If you are unable to walk but would like to sponsor a walker; or stay on at LCC, enjoy conversation & refreshments, and cheer us all from the sidelines, please contact Bill Murphy at wnmurphy@gmail.com, or Jenny Prileson at jenprileson@comcast.net. All donations go to the CROP Hunger Walk fund.

Walkers of all ages are invited; anyone wishing to bring four-footed companions along is welcome to join us!

*CROP Hunger Walks help to provide food and water, as well as resources that empower people to meet their own needs. From seeds and tools, to wells and water systems, to technical training and micro-enterprise loans, the key is people working together to identify their own development priorities, their strengths and their needs.
