The Hanover Garden Club presents: Designing with Ferns
Tuesday, May 3rd, 1:00 PM at the Montshire Museum of Science, Norwich, VT
Speaker: Leslie Duthie
Leslie Duthie has been gardening for over 38 years. She was the horticulturist and plant propagator at the Norcross Wildlife Sanctuary and is an accomplished grower of ferns and wildflowers.
“The northeast is home to over 70 different species of ferns. Leaving them out of your garden is to miss a lovely assortment of foliage, forms and colors. Ferns are tough, adaptable plants, with many surviving under a wide range of conditions.”, said Ms. Duthie.
Ms. Duthie will cover fern diversity and uses in the garden, aggressive species, terminology, and the important ecological role they play in the landscape
Program begins at 1:00PM. Free and open to the public.
