Laurie works in a Vermont-based medical center where she treats people with a wide range of mental health conditions, with an emphasis on treating binge and emotional eating. Laurie leads both patient- and staff-facing intuitive eating groups at the facility where she works, and regularly presents on weight stigma, weight-inclusive clinical practices, and intuitive eating. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2019, where she worked with Dr. Paula Brochu, a Social Psychologist whose research interests include weight-related prejudice, stereotyping, discrimination, and stigma.
