A Volunteer Opportunity at the Lyme Fire Department and FAST squad.

Would you like to meet your neighbors one 911 call at a time?

Really think sleep is an overrated pastime?

Want to give back to your community in a way most folks don’t ever get a chance to do?

Join the Lyme FAST Squad and/or Fire Department. We are looking for residents who can devote time and effort to being a volunteer firefighter and/or EMT.

The Fast Squad averages one training session per month, about 10 calls a month, no schedule, just respond if you are in Town and available.  Hanover FD provides patient transportation to the hospital and the average EMT call is less than 30 minutes.

The Fire Department has two training sessions per month, also averages about 10 calls a month, no schedule, just respond if you are in town and available.

No prior experience required, we will provide training.

If you want to know more about the commitment please come to one of our upcoming Volunteer Open houses at the Lyme Fire Department(44 High Street) to ask questions and learn more about how you can become involved in your community.

Open House Dates:

  • Monday August 29th from 6:30 to 8pm
  • Wednesday September 7th from 6:30 to 8pm
  • Wednesday September 21st from 6:30 to 8pm
