Queer Unity Rally
National Coming Out Day
On Friday, October 11th, at 5:30PM, join us at the Queer Unity Rally in honor of National Coming Out Day at the State House arches. Community members will share coming out stories and stories of being outed – a reminder that everyone deserves the right to choose when, where, how and with whom we come out. We aim to highlight a range of experiences and call for safe and healthy communities where each of us are respected for who we are, and able to live authentic lives.
Afterwards, join us at Queerlective’s CoLab/DIY Craft&Thrift for a meal catered by Batulo’s Kitchen! Here, we’ll share a meal in community and reflect on our own coming out stories with each other. Please RSVP so we know how much food to order! Capacity is limited.
Safety: Masks will be required at all times unless actively eating or if you can’t wear a mask for health reasons. We strongly encourage participants to have the updated COVID-19 vaccine by the time of the rally. Bright stickers will be available for those who wish to not be photographed at the event. Peacekeepers will be on site to help keep us safe. This is a family-friendly event.
