Open to the public outside Thetford Academy
From Kiki Robbirds listserv post:
Thetford Academy is excited to announce that the “Schoolhouse Rocks” concert series is back again for another summer of music and fun!
Family friendly and open to the public, these three shows will be an opportunity to gather outside in a beautiful Thetford location with friends, food, and music!
BYO picnic blankets and lawn games. Donations accepted.
Tug Mountain Pizza will be there each night, serving up fresh and hot pizzas all evening long.
Mark your calendars!
Hailing from Burlington, VT, members Joe Agnello, Jeff Wilson, and Jack Vignone pay homage to bluegrass legends such as Tony Rice, Norman Blake, and Doc Watson. You won’t want to miss this trio of gifted players!
Thursday 7/18 • Zach Nugent & Daniel Marc • 6-8pm
This pair will be performing a variety of songs from the great American songbook, The Grateful Dead, and tunes from their own catalogs. This duo’s presence on stage promises to be an exhilarating experience on the hill. Come ready to dance!
Saturday 8/10 • Western Terrestrials • 6-8pm
Vermont based honky-tonk outsiders Western Terrestrials, fronted by TA alum Nick Charyk ‘04, blend their love for the weird with the twang of classic country, creating a sound that’s honest, irreverent, and upfront about what they believe in. It’s aliens and Nudie suits, cosmic conspiracies and country shuffles, rough edges and broken hearts. Most of all, it’s a firm sense that when you look at things from outer space, we’ve all got more in common than some of us humans care to admit.
