The next meeting of Thetford’s informal nonfiction book discussion group will take place at Latham Library on Thetford Hill on Tuesday August 27th at 7 pm.
We will be discussing She’s Not There: A Life in Two Genders, by Jennifer Finney Boylan.
For James Boylan, in his heart he knew that his true self and his outward persona were at odds. Outwardly a man, inwardly he longed to be a woman. At forty, husband to a wonderful wife, father of two boys, author of four successful books and popular professor of English, he faced the fact that his discomfort showed no signs of abating and made the difficult but necessary decision – to change genders.
